Every photograph here is somebody else's work, used under a licence that asks to be told about it. This page is that, kept published rather than kept on file.

All photos sourced from Wikimedia Commons, downloaded at 1600px and pre-processed with the site's duotone treatment (grayscale, contrast, ink-to-bone gradient map with lime cast, grain). The processed files in /assets/photos/ are derivatives of the originals below.

License notes:

CC BY and CC BY-SA require this attribution to remain published; keeping this file in the repo and linked from /privacy or the footer's Contact column satisfies it.
The two CC BY-SA files are used as processed derivatives; those derivatives are themselves available under CC BY-SA per the ShareAlike condition.
Public-domain works (US federal military photographers) need no attribution; credited anyway.
Military origin of three photos is irrelevant to their content (a civilian ultra in Romania, a CrossFit Open workout, a competition close-up); nothing military is visible or implied.
photo-hyrox-lunges.jpg is no longer published. It shows an identifiable elite athlete (race kit reads WEEKS) and HYROX arena branding, and CC BY covers copyright only — not personality or trademark rights. The CrossFit–Hyrox hub uses photo-hyrox-sled.jpg instead, which says the same thing about the sport and asks nothing of anybody's likeness. The lunges file stays in the repository as a spare and keeps its credit; publishing it again would bring that question back with it.
